Vogue Japan 2018

Updated: Oct 25, 2020

Vogue Japan typically features mostly modern haute couture fashion that is heavily influenced by european design and fashion. Occasionally among the high quality glossy pages packed full of fashionable people you will find gems and tidbits that cleared are influenced by traditional Japanese culture: a hint of a silk kimono here, a pinch of Geisha culture there. However the October 2018 edition of Vogue Japan features beautiful photos that clearly pay tribute to older Japanese traditions and culture alongside the likes of more modern fashion. The following photos you will see the Model Ansley Gulielmi who was photographed by Luigi & Iango for Vogue Japan October 2018 issue. We really fell in love with the careful details and the quality of the kimono featured in these photos. The Geisha figures in particular really caught our eye. Truthfully we would absolutely love to see more of the Geisha's kimono, which are called hikizuri, and less of the modern fashion.
