This delightful antique hanhaba obi is potentially from around the Taisho period, and features a rich brocade material. This brocade material could have originally been sourced from an antique maru obi which might have been remade into this hanhaba. Hanhaba obi are a casual kind of obi typically worn by women with informal kimono such as a yukata.

Obi do not hold kimono onto a person's body, but rather are a decorative accent. Himo hold kimono on a person. We have himo for sale in our store, under the kimono accessories section.

  • Condition: B, gently used antique which has some minor signs of wear due to its advanced age along the edge of the obi. This obi is in good condition for its age, ideal for collecting or wearing with care.
  • Obi Width: 6 in
  • Obi Length: 129 in
  • Material Estimate:  Organic, silk.
