Kanzashi

In Japan, there are hair pieces worn by young ladies known as kanzashi. These hair pieces are made from recycled fabric sourced from kimono or new fabric. Kanzashi are commonly associated with younger ladies who are wearing formal attire such as a furisode, or even maiko. Our kanzashi come from a wide variety of sources, including but not limited to American artists who are passionate about traditional Japanese crafts. In addition to kanzashi, we also offer a selection of katsura wigs in a variety of styles. Kaznashi can come in a wide variety of styles that includes flowers, animals, and natural elements such as the moon. Common floral themes for kanzashi include but are not limited to: wisteria, sakura, plum blossoms, and chrysanthemums. Animal themes most commonly seen include cranes, and bunnies.
