This vintage unlined boys blue and black kimono features an over all checkered design. This kimono has been hemmed, decreasing it's over all size. The hem could be let out to increase the over all size by several inches. Type kind of children's kimono is considered informal and would be commonly paired with a heko obi. Checkered kimono designs are known as Ichimatsu, which was named after a popular kabuki actor in the Edo era who made checkered kimono popular.
 
Kimono Condition: B- there is a faint discoloration on the back of the kimono. This could be easily covered by a heko obi.
