This playful blue and white cotton han-eri is covered in bunnies. This fabric is from a Japanese brand, and is new.  This han-eri runs slightly longer and wider than usual, ideal for a variety of American sizes with longer necklaines. This haneri may also be used for smaller frames as well. Han-eri are a decorative accessory added to the collar of a juban, and have a eri-shin slid in them. Juban are worn under Japanese kimono with only the collar visible.

Though they look simple, Japanese kimono require a wide variety of accessories to be worn in a traditional manner.  An easy rule of thumb to remember is that the more formal a kimono is, the more accessories there are to wear it in a traditional manner.
