This elegant vintage women's fukuro obi has a thick woven construction, and is an overall dark plum purple color, and is otherwise plain. Either side of this obi can be worn outward, making it effectively two different obi for the price of one. This obi is thin and flexible.
 
Obi do not hold a kimono on a person's body, himo hold kimono on.  This kind of obi requires a makura, obi-ita, obi-age, and obi-jime to be worn traditionally. 
 
Obi Condition: B+, gently used vintage without major flaws that impact wear or presentation. Minor flaws that have no serious impact on wear or presentation will be present. There appears to be natural color variation in the organic fibers, suggesting that this might be hand dyed. The variations in the dye are not a flaw, so much as a hallmark of craftsmenship.
