This beautiful vintage nagoya obi for women is woven, and has a landscape scene on it. The obi is mostly an ivory white color, and the landscape scene is made up of shades of green, brown, and peach.
 
Obi are worn atop of Japanese kimono and are a decorative element. Obi do not hold kimono on a person's body, rather himo are used to tie a kimono onto a person. Much like kimono obi have their own formalities, styles, and accessories. This obi is considered casual attire.
