This vintage Japanese kimono iron is ideal for use on most kimono and is an easy to use handheld shape. The bottom of the iron is perfectly smooth without any holes, or ridges, making it safer for use on beaded, embroidered, and textured services. This iron has one heat setting. Most kimono are not directly ironed, so much as there is a cloth such as a towel laid atop the surface through which the kimono is ironed. The electrical plug for this item will work with most American outlets. When we got this item in, we tested and confirmed that it is still working. At the time of shipment, it works.
