This elegant vintage women's furisode is lined, with a full-width collar and covered in a shibori design that creates a great many beautiful blooming peony flowers that are framed by their own leaves. Furisode are formal kimono worn by younger unmarried ladies on special occasions. This kimono is most likely made of silk, and potentially features an all real shibori design that creates the look of arching Japanese bridges over gently water with waves, paired alongside beautiful floral arrangements.
 
Along the edge of the shibori dye you can see natural dye bleed which makes it all the more likely this is a real shibori furisode. If the shibori is not real, it is a high-quality imitation.
 
Furisode Condition: B, gently used with minor flaws in the form of some scattered faint discoloration. Of the flaws, the most notable is on the front right breast at the shoulder seam, where there is a faint discoloration. The busy nature of the shibori pattern hides this furisode's flaws well.
