This beautiful obi is an antique, and most likely made of silk. In modern terms this kind of obi may be viewed as a hanhab obi style. Beautiful orange and yellow flowers decorate the length of this obi with a cross-hatch background.


Obi do not hold kimono onto a person's body, but rather are a decorative accent. Koshihimo hold kimono on a person.


  • Condition: B, this antique obi has some visible discolorations along its length which may be possible to clean. In all this obi has a few discolorations and minor fray expected of an antique textile. The seam along the obi has some lose in a few areas and could be restitched.
