This elegant vintage formal women's obi is white, yellow, and pale purple with flowers and butterflies on one side, and the otherwise is solid pale purple with a hemp pattern.  This kind of obi is considered formal women's attire and would commonly be worn with more formal kimono such as furisode, or tomesode. Obi do not hold a kimono on a body, and are decorative in nature.
