We are kicking off 2020 right and are having our annual $20 kimono sale at Ohaycon in Columbus, Ohio! We will have a LIMITED number of $20 kimono for sale! These vintage kimono are in ready to wear condition, though they may have some minor flaws. The sizes, styles, and materials will vary wildly! In addition to the sale, there will be a delightful selection of brand new to vintage kimono on hand for you to try on and tailor an entire custom coordination around to best express yourself with. In stock at Ohayocon will be a selection of kimono of different formalities, haori, obijime, koshihimo, brand new silk makura, and more! No need for guessing games, we offer knowledgable consultations that confirm to Japanese traditional dressing standards and are happy to help guide you through the process of building a kimono coordination ranging from a high formal furisode to the fun-loving yukata!
While Ohayocon is an anime convention, there is a wonderful selection of panels and demonstrations that can be attended that are dedicated to Japanese culture. The Columbus Kimono group is attending and will be hosting educational kimono dressing workshops, and even a tea ceremony demonstration! At one of the panels the Tokyo Obon will be danced, and if you want to practice in advance you can check out the youtube video below! Ohyocon 2020 Dates: Jan 9th - 11th, 2020
