Over the years we have sold kimono, obi, haori, juban, tabi socks, obi makura, and more with the Asanoha design on them. This design looks like the 6 point star or geometric flower.
What does this design represent? The Asanoha design is the Japanese hemp leaf design. The pattern is generally geometric. T

I will be the first to admit that I owned a lot of it, and found any excuse possible to plaster their stickers all over anything.
Today a friend brought to my attention this kimono, which can only be described as Lisa Frank inspired. Talk about an intense design on a

We recently got in a section of stunning Taisho era michiyuki. These silk coats pre-date ww2 in most cases, and are almost all hand sewn. Taisho era wafuku is especially prized for the quality of the fabric, and the longer sleeve lengths. Imagine our surprise, when we checked one of the pockets of a coat only to discover money! Over the years we have checked the pockets of many michiyuki and continue to be surprised at the discoveries we make.
Inside this coat was a 50 sen
