Kimono Dressing Demonstration & Lecture

Kimono Demonstration At Napoleon Public Library

Join us on Oct 16th @ 7pm for a free public lecture about traditional Japanese kimono, and a dressing demonstration. Topics covered in the lecture will include a brief history, kinds of kimono, the many different kinds of obi, formalities of the kinds of kimono, differences in the genders of kimono, and kitsuke rules for wearing kimono in a traditional manner.

This educational kimono presentation is good for all ages, and is free to the public.

We are excited to host and teach about traditional Japanese kimono once more. After this lecture and demonstration you can join us in Portland, Oregon at Kumoricon for our kimono lecture and dressing demonstration there.
