We recently acquired some very interesting advertising material from Japan. After reviewing the material we decided to do a mini blog series dedicated to kimono advertisements in Japan.The material in question features advertisements for yukata, but not any common kind of yukata; official Disney yukata! The first part of this series is a full color glossy advertisement for Disney yukata by Susunoya from 2005. Yukata are a type of very informal kimono worn in casual social settings such as to a Matsuri. What do you think about the Disney yukata featured in the ad? Our favorite was the black and white yukata with Mickey Mouse heads. Occasionally we do get official Disney yukata in stock, and you can check for them by visiting our yukata collection online.
