It is increasingly popular to head canon cross your favorite fandoms with each other. You know stuff like Rick and Morty meets My Little Ponies, Harry Potter and the Legend Of Sleepyhallow, Disney Princesses in various Star Wars roles, and so on. Recently we stumbled onto a mash up that we had to share! Japanese Artist Hikaru Yagi has produced a beautiful art series in which they took characters from the Game Of Thrones series and dressed them in traditional Japanese kimono.
This week we took a break from out usual focus of adding Japanese kimono and obi to our online store and instead focused on adding a great selection of kimono accessories such as han-eri, juban, obijime, and obiage. Most of the kitsuke accessories added to our site are in great condition and will make a fine addition to any collection. Check back weekly to check out the new selection of Japanese kimono, haori, juban, obi, and more added to our online store. #kitsuke #obiage #
Recently a very beautiful Japanese kimono passed through our store, it was a lovely dark blue and covered in origami cranes with metallic accents. This kimono was lovely, and we had a strong response to it. It was no surprise when the kimono quickly found a home. The new owner has sent us some lovely photos to share with everyone of the origami crane kimono and their take on kitsuke with it. Devin has been features by us before, specifically for their spider queen kitsuke.
Location: UK What first attracted you into wearing kimono? How long have you worn kimono? I have always loved traditional clothing from all cultures, and when I started watching more Japanese dramas on tv I just had to get a kimono. I have worn them since 2010, at my first Kimono De Jack UK. I was very nervous as it was also the first time I wore a kimono in public and even worse in London. I received good and helpful feedback which gave me a lot of confidence.

As our online kimono store has grown and we take on more shows to sell at, we are struggling to find a rhythm for shipping our online kimono orders. When our online kimono store was much smaller, many purchases shipped same day from our warehouse. However our business has since grown to a point that we can no longer operate in this manner. All too often we were unable to ship on a Monday, Saturday, or Friday due to being at shows. For us shipping was increasingly becoming ch
For years we have struggled with finding really kawaii netsuke, and obidome that was the ideal addition to our kimono kitsuke. Over the years we had seen really novel looking resin charms, but we could never find a steady or affordable supplier for these charms. After years of searching, it was time to roll up our selves and start making the charms ourselves. The 'Gold Raven' is our side company that specializes in custom resin charms and jewelry for kimono and western fashio

Japanese kimono are rich in symbolism and almost every decoration on them has a meaning. The Asanoha design is a prevalent and common theme found in various Japanese arts. Over the years we have sold kimono, obi, haori, juban, tabi socks, obi makura, and more with the Asanoha design on them. This design looks like the 6 point star or geometric flower.
What does this design represent? The Asanoha design is the Japanese hemp leaf design. The pattern is generally geometric. T

The second day of the Japanese Summer Festival in the Anderson Japanese Gardens was a success and truly a high class affair. This event we consider the single most elegant event we attend all year. It was a pleasure to be able to talk to so many customers, new and old. At this festival a wide variety of kimono could be see being worn, from the yukata to formals for Japanese theater. Though we did not get many photos of people wearing real kimono, they were highly common at th
The day just ended at the Japanese summer festival at the Anderson Japanese Gardens. The day was phenomenal and we were fortunate to enjoy the company of fellow and highly talented artist, and a great Community as a whole. Many of my customers came out to the gardens for their first time ever, and they fell in love. This Japanese Festival is the perfect cultural event to wear authentic kimono to. Most of the Japanese entertainers are fully dressed in traditional kimono. Here
