We recently got in a section of stunning Taisho era michiyuki. These silk coats pre-date ww2 in most cases, and are almost all hand sewn. Taisho era wafuku is especially prized for the quality of the fabric, and the longer sleeve lengths. Imagine our surprise, when we checked one of the pockets of a coat only to discover money! Over the years we have checked the pockets of many michiyuki and continue to be surprised at the discoveries we make.
